TyreFlow_

Sintel has thirty years of experience in the Tire Industry. Our customers, belonging to the specific sector, are companies that deal with the production, retreading, sale, assistance, rental of tires and services in general.

The raw materials emergency as well as the problem related to the environmental impact, has pushed many companies to want to deal with the Tire Retreading process by promoting the birth of important private initiatives in the sector, rather than on the use of the product used only once.

According to statistics, already 27% of truck tires are retreaded.

If the tyre were not retreaded, after the first use, it would be wasted through disposal. The Tyre Retreading process allows the extension of the product life cycle and therefore slows down its transformation into “waste”, ensuring the reduction of environmental pollution problems. Furthermore, in terms of safety, the tire retreading process is strictly regulated with the UN ECE 108 and 109 standards.

The Characteristics of TyreFlow

The TyreFlow application module was created for the Management of the Tire Retreading process, whether on own account or on subcontracting. The management and monitoring of the process takes place through the macro-functions, present in the application, which allow you to:
¤ Query the available Tires with property selection or management, with identification of multiple choice values;
¤  Manage the production cycle;
¤  Manage traceability, through the identification of the incoming tire, by assigning a unique identifier. Production tags can be created and printed. If necessary, the tags can be traced and reprinted during the production process, through the use of barcodes.

Tyreflow macrofunctions

The entry phase of the tyre into the plant is characterized by the registration of the old tyre with the printing of a tagged bar code, necessary to immediately identify the tyre in the various stages of processing, up to storage or issue of delivery documents.

The application is provided with a Tyre/Original Design relationship table that allows for the planning of needs and the collection of materials needed by the operators, thanks to the intersection of two variables: original design code and band. Furthermore, it is possible to evaluate the possibility of carrying out a modification for the Meter/Kilo conversion for the Bandag bands, capable of restoring the performance of a new tyre in the retreaded tyre.

At this point it is possible to manage the production progress system, confirming the processing phase or the waste. This way the system will update the status of the tyres in real time. The process ends with the storage or issue of delivery documents.
The management of the company’s own tyres must be able to allow a suitability statement to the customer, with respect to the number of tyres and the relative issue of the sales invoice by the customer for a certain amount. The selected tyres recieve a status of purchase by the customer (suitability notification for invoicing and possible communication of rejects or rejected). The customer’s loading document is included.
It is possible to pick up the old tyres from stock management or, manually insert them, handled by the customer, during the issue of documents. This operation opens a rotation E/C which must be closed through a specific return operation by the customer. At the time of return, it is possible to download the rotation E/C with an internal document, on which it will be indicated whether the old tyre is being reviewed or accepted. Acceptance is subsequently carried out by the operator who will evaluate it.
The TyreFlow management software monitors the tyre pressure by reading the TPMS mounted on the tyres (with the possibility of monitoring the entire set or selecting the observation of only some tires), which allows you to control the pressure, temperature and level of the TPMS battery.

The first step in monitoring is to select the parameters within which the tyre pressure must remain. Subsequently, the management system interrogates the sensor on the tyre at regular intervals, detects the data and manages them according to the preset parameters. Consequently, if the detected data remains within the preset levels of “correct pressure”, the management system stores them in the history; if the pressure data does not comply with the preset levels, the management system automatically sends an alert via email to the previously selected subjects.

Our software allows you to locate the position of the lorry when it registered the alert, through a link to Google Maps. By viewing the history, it is also possible to obtain a graph to visually have an overview of the pressure trend of the tyre(s).

The macrofunctions above are made up of specific microfunctions

Available Tyres Query with the option to select specific product properties:

¤ Specific search function and selection of the tyre(s) that need work.

Production Cycle Management:

¤ Print archive of tags for the identification of tyres;
¤ Action Table for various processing phases, each identified with a code;
¤ The Customer Criticality function includes all decisions regarding the customer (design, return of scrap, repairs, etc.);
¤ Customisable Work cycles with a code that identifies the production cycle;
¤ Operator management produces a code for processing staff;
¤ Management of unsuitable codes produces a code with the description of the possible causes of “rejection”;
¤ Machine Management provides a code with a description of the characteristics of the machine;
¤ Processing Phases Management produces a code with the description of the processing, the time and the type of activity;
¤ Property Type Management allows you to manage the customer in full. Therefore, it is possible to insert in real time, the commissions, manage the contractual relationship, the practices relating to delivery, reporting, invoicing, etc;
¤ Pneumatic Tag with Additional Processing can be activated, by printing the tag, without interrupting the production cycle;
¤ Tyre tag with work phases the work cycle will be associated with the tyre through the type of retreading to be done;
¤ Planning of needs relating to labor and raw materials;
¤ Production Launch tires will be selected with filter. The confirmation of the Production PGM (Program) will have a preparation phase and a confirmation phase. If the PGM is confirmed, by meeting the minimum required limits, the selected tyres will no longer be made available. The throw is prevented if this condition cannot be satisfied;
¤ Management of the production progress system: the system will update, in real time, the status of the tyres being processed;
¤ Final balance of phases on a dedicated application, with limited functions to be used only by operators;
¤ Information on the availability of products It is possible to communicate information on the availability of products, both in subcontracting and in the warehouse, both to the traveling staff and to customers;
¤ Management of the flow of documents and materials with the company information system it is possible to collect commissions directly from the traveling staff.

Traceability Management

¤ Printing of the tags at the time of taking charge of the tyre with the Customer Code, the Item/Size Code, Customer Notes; Number of Unauthorized Repairs, Number of Permitted Repairs;
¤ Traceability and reprint of tags in the production process with barcode printing on the tag of data relating to customer requests, design and dimensions of the tread;
¤ Item/Drawings/Bands Correspondence Management provides for the insertion on the tag of the size and characteristics relating to the old tyre;
¤ Management of the Customer Data Pneumatic Tag with the specifications and Notes of the Customer, of the Drawing and of the Repairs allowed and not allowed by the Customer;
¤ Electronic card maintenance with print and search functions;
¤ Final label printing of all available tyres.
